Colourful Melted Crayon Pumpkin

Welcome back for another Halloween DIY! Today I have a colourful, fun and easy pumpkin project you can do. Melted crayon pumpkins are so pretty and only take about 30 min to complete. You can customize it any way you want and have fun!

Supplies

  • Crayons
  • White Pumpkins
  • Glue (optional)
  • Blow Dryer or Heat Gun
  • Clear surface with paper towel or plastic on top

This is a really simple project with minimal clean up. First you need to peel your crayons and take the packaging off. Once you get it all off, break the crayons up into pieces. If you are doing this on a large pumpkin you can probably use the full crayon.

Place the colours you want onto the pumpkin. You can glue them down but I found it easier to just melt a few at a time and layer the colours.

Tip: start with dark colours on the bottom I made that mistake and lost the pink and yellow colour under the darker blues.

You can also do one colour on the pumpkin. The red made a nice statement and looks great for Halloween!

The green looks great to with the rich vibrant colours. You can make your pumpkin colours whatever you want!

As a fun little bonus design! I wanted to share this easy glitter pumpkin. All you need is some glitter and glue. Spread out the glue over the top of the pumpkin. You can drip the glue down the sided for a halloween look too!

Move quickly before your glue dries and cover the top in glitter. Once it is all covered leave it and let it dry. I like to leave mine overnight to make sure it totally dries. Take a brush and dust off any extra glitter and you have a sparkly glitter pumpkin!

I hope you all give this a try and share your photos with me! Today is a holiday in Canada for Thanksgiving! It has been a great weekend of family and food! Today I am off to the pumpkin patch with Justin and my favourite photographer! I am so excited!

love, S

So fun! I really want to make some of these, I think the kids would love doing this with me. 🙂 I do wonder if you could just melt the crayon in the microwave though and pour it over the top?
