DIY Halloween Costumes | Scuba Divers

We are only two weeks away from the most exciting night… Halloween! I am so excited. Justin and I were really into halloween costumes this year and we wanted to do an easy DIY costume that you can really play around with and make your own. We thought of scuba divers.

No need to worry, you won’t be carrying heavy tanks on your back and this doesn’t require a wetsuit (well it could if you wanted). Most of the supplies you need you should be able to find in your house! How easy is that 🙂

Supplies

  • All black clothing
  • Silver spray paint
  • 2L plastic bottles
  • Black tape
  • Black Ribbon
  • Accessories (mask, flippers)

First thing you want to do is spray paint the empty bottles silver. Take any labels off them to make the pain go on even. We found that putting a stick into the group and the having the bottles hang on them was easiest to paint. Let them fully dry before taking them off.

Put on you head to toe black clothing and get your tape and ribbon together to make the air tanks. Tie the ribbon around the top of the bottle and loop it around the other person’s shoulder making a strap to hold the bottle up.

Take the black tape and tape all the way around on the middle of the bottle and around person’s body. Then tape the bottles together at the bottom. Repeat for the other person. (see video below)

That is it now you can add any fun accessories you want like a diving mask, flippers whatever you want! You can be dressed as the cutest scuba divers around. Just make it your own.

I hope you have fun creating easy and fun DIY costumes for Halloween! Make sure to share any photos with me 🙂
