Don’t you wish vacation could last forever! It feels like my LA trip flew bye, luckily I have a ton of photos, and from editing them it something feels like I am still there! Today’s post was a last minute idea while we were walking around one day. I kept seeing all the amazing wall art in Venice and thought why not pick my favourites to share. I know that murals in Venice are no surprise and many people share them, but if you weren’t sure where one of these were well hopefully this helps!
To start off I found this beautiful brick wall first, I love brick, my house is red brick and it is such a beautiful show of character to me. I always think it is important to find a good brick wall when shooting! The location of this wall is Abbot Kinney and Andalusia Ave.
The next wall is only 1 block down and was so vibrant you can’t miss it! At Abbot Kinney and Cadiz Court. This is a great colour blocking wall!
This next wall oh I love so much! The hearts make my heart feel full! This wall is stunning for close up portraits, I felt it really compliments my skin well! This is on the side of Greenleaf on Abbot Kinney!
Another colourful wall for the colour fans reading! Only 1 block away this beautiful wall was amazing to look at. I must say Justin and I were really enjoying just looking at the beautiful art! This is located on San Juan Ave!
Now you may notice I am wearing the same thing in all the photos, that is for a few reasons, 1. this was a last minute decision to shoot these photos. 2. I wanted to enjoy the day and the art and not be changing outfits every five minutes. and 3. I feel it is nice to be in the same outfit because you can see how the different walls and colours work with my outfit and how they reflect and work with my skin and the colours I am wearing.
This next spot was amazing because there were two walls on either side of the way. Total opposites in theme and mood but both beautiful. The first one is this amazing black and white wall, I just loved the feel and how it looks in photos! This is on the side of Rag and Bone
And right across from the last was was this bold art. Now this outfit was not helping my situation I was blending in with the wall so yeah I messed up on my part but if you are waring the right outfit this wall would be amazing! it is located HERE!
I couldn’t say no to this next work of art, I love magical and fantasy type pieces of art and wings are so beautiful in my opinion. This was a bit harder to shoot as it is right on the main sidewalk and store front, so lots of people and Justin was squeezing between parked cars to get the shot! But totally worth it right! This is on the store front of Principessa.
An the final location we went to that day, this isn’t really a wall but the store really gets an A+ for design, I loved the gold paint as gold is my favourite! This was a great place to grab photos and not very busy as you are up off the main sidewalk! This is at The Piece Collective.
The great thing is you can use this as a little walking guide, this is the exact route down and back Abbot Kinney we took and we had a great time, next time we are down there I will give lots more time to look at murals in Venice as we did this on our last day so we couldn’t get a whole lot in!
This is my first time sharing photo locations and all of the links in this post will take you to the exact location of the wall on google maps! I hope this helps if you want to visit!
