A Sunday Afternoon And A Waterfall

I will forever be thankful that I grew up in British Columbia, I feel like I have been blessed to live in such a beautiful place. We have the ocean, mountains, wildlife, and forests. I grew up with nights being peaceful, summers listening to frogs in the backyards, and swimming in fresh glacier fed lakes. One treat is we have a lot of beautiful waterfalls and I have a waterfall that is so close to home.

This waterfall I visit often is Cascade Falls, it is a short walk through the trails and you are upon a beautiful waterfall. The district has even put in boardwalks and a small suspension bridge for guests to walk around. There are also areas further down the river that you can go put your feet in the water in the summer time. It is incredible cold, so you probably won’t want to go any further!

We don’t often get snow and freezing cold winters, we are kind of like the L.A of Canada 😉 but this year we got a lot of cold, snow and ice! I personally have never seen the falls like this partially frozen and beautiful. It quickly become known over social media and Cascade Falls became a hot spot to check out! I have never seen so many people there before, even in the summer time.

My family went out last weekend and Justin and I got our drone up to capture video and photos, hence all of these being taken from way up in the sky. I was so happy to get these shots of the falls that is very different then the classic photo.

We had an amazing time and it really is so special to enjoy these beautiful moments right in my community. I have attached the video we took and would love for you to take a look! I can’t wait for spring and summer with better weather so we can get our drone up more!

Have a wonderful weekend!
