I am always looking for easy ways to improve my eating habits. Trying to bring healthy foods into my diet. I first learned about Chia Seeds about 2 years ago. I was really unsure about using them, my worst decision was trying them in just plain water with lemon. That was a bit much to start off with. But I have 3 ways you can include chia seeds into your diet and not even notice that your adding them in!
If you haven’t heard about chia seeds before I will share a few of the health benefits to including them into your diet. They have been found to help boots your energy and metabolism, help strengthen your bones, lower blood pressure and regulate cholesterol levels, assist with weight loss, and provide great antioxidants for your body. There are more great benefits but those are just a few to name off.
Add Chia to your Smoothie
The first way I have for you is very simple and you probably won’t even notice that you added these chia seeds into it. Make whatever smoothie you like and just add a tablespoon of chia seeds into it! This smoothie helped me feel full. I notice I wasn’t grabbing for snacks a hour after breakfast it kept me fuller longer.
Yogurt Parfait with Chia
This is the perfect quick breakfast. I use greek yogurt, granola maybe a cut up banana or strawberry and a spoon full or two of chia seeds. This makes a really yummy breakfast. It is fast and easy and can be eaten in a hurry!
Chia on you Toast
Now this one took me a bit longer to try but it is seriously so yummy. You really don’t notice the Chia seeds. Just make your toast put some yummy peanut butter on, cut up a banana and sprinkle the chia seeds on top! The combo of flavours are just so yummy.
