I wanted to start the Mother’s Day celebrations early, I know my Mom deserves a weekend of celebration not just one day! Today’s post is simple, it is a tribute and thank you to my Mom and a chance to share a few of the stunning photos we got.
An open letter to my Mom:
I can say 100% you are my best friend, I am such a sentimental person I started tearing up just writing this out. But it is true Mom you are my best friend, whenever anything happens you are the first person I want to call and talk about it with. You always knows how to listen and be there.
I think big and I dream bigger and I jump into my big ideas and just run with it. But you have never questioned my ideas or said they weren’t good ideas. You supported my photography business that I decided to start one night after I had just graduated high school. You didn’t say hmm is that a good idea? No, you shared all my media posts, told all your friends and started passing out my business cards to everyone you knew. Still today you support that business even if I have made it more of a side business then my main focus.
When I started this blog last summer, you started sharing them and emailed my website to everyone you could, telling them to check it out and subscribe. You would sit at breakfast with me and ask all the things you could do to help promote me and get my name out there. You were always ready to help me with anything. You never said no if I asked for help taking photos, even when I became sharp and impatient with you. Mom you have always been there.
It warms my heart to think how involved you are with my life now and how supportive you are, but I can’t forget that you have been that way for 20 years of my life. Every dance recital, school concert, you would come to every single night of the musical run, and by the final night you would be standing at the back singing and dancing to the songs with us.
We can’t forget that you are a working Mom, and yes there were last day of school awards ceremonies that you couldn’t attend, or sport games after school that were too early. But even then you would do your best or take the morning off and come see me get that award. Let me tell you, there is no face I looked for more then my Mom’s big smile and open arms.
Mom, you have enough love, heart, and happiness to share with countless children and while life’s plans only meant for you to have just me, I am the luckiest daughter on this earth to have you. My biggest supporter, my late night chat and laughing partner, and my summer evening dairy queen date. I love you so much and I am so blessed to have you as my Mom.
Happy Mother’s Day
Thank you to Brooklyn for these stunning Photos
