Let The People Tell You Where To Travel?

Can you imagine buying a ticket to Europe from Canada and having no plans of where you will go? Well Richard Kelly who I met through a mutual friend is doing just that. He is landing in Frankfurt, Germany this morning and is staying with a friend tonight. Then from Feb 24- March 2 he will be relying on people to comment on his daily photos on instagram to tell him where to travel next. He will go anywhere and do anything. It is a pretty daring and adventurous trip but I can’t wait to see where the people take him.

To tell you a bit about richard he is a 22 year old care worker who found a love for photography when he moved to Vancouver Island, BC back in 2015. He spends as much free time as he can getting outdoors and exploring, while encouraging his new follower base on Instagram to do the same. Richard has shown impressive photographs and his work is really shows off the beauty of nature. I for one am a big fan!

Here are some of Richard’s work of the beautiful outdoors.

He has also been creating an incredible Instagram feed with beautiful photos, this makes me want to book a shoot with him as soon as he gets back! Check out some of our favourites!

Please read this caption… it’s the most important thing I’ve said all year. ▪▪▪▪▪▪ A year ago @taylormichaelburk & @ventinphotography convinced me to download “Lightroom” to edit my photos. That’s where I mark the beginning of my actual photography career. Learning to edit and develop photos beyond a phone app, completely changed my images and began to open up incredible opportunities for me with photography. It’s actually been an incredible 12 months. I wouldn’t have imagined I would’ve met all these incredible people along the way. Hundreds of you. I can’t thank you all enough. It’s been a journey that I’m happy to have had everyone alongside me for. I’m doing something different this year. I’m focussing on my actual goals. My dreams. Not my opportunities. I will not be quitting photography. But I won’t be calling myself a photographer anymore. That’s never been who Richard Kelly is. I am a man who loves God, loves creating art, and wants to make a difference in other’s lives. It’s time I become everything that man can be. Thank you for following me this far. Your support means a lot. Now it’s time for me to do something.▪▪▪▪▪▪ #crmrshare

This is a really exciting adventure and I would love for you all to go let Richard know where you want him to go! He will be posting as often as he can with wifi, he will also be doing some cool stuff on Insta Stories, I for one am so excited to watch this week of adventure.

Would you ever be daring enough to book a round trip plane ticket and not make a singles plan for where to stay where to go or anything when you get there?

I don’t think I could as I am miss plan everything a month ahead 😉 Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

What an awesome project! It must be so freeing and a little scary to give up that sort of control to strangers on Instagram! But it will be an amazing experience I’m sure, and one he will love telling his future grandchildren about!
