Happy Halloween! I hope you all had a fun and safe weekend! But now we have reached the official day. Did you know that is is also Nation Magic Day today? I think it is fitting for the occasion! One of my favourite things to do is go down memory lane it is so fun and brings back so many memories! Today I am taking you down memory lane of Halloween’s Past! I think you will have a good laugh at least with some of my looks over the years! I hope you enjoy!
Lets go back to the first years of my life not many costumes but lots of pumpkin fun! And just look at that little lady bug costume! I sure was going to stay warm in that!
I really hit the classics with the princess costume for multiple years and one of my favourites turning into an evil witch for the occasion! This was the first time I had fake stick on nails and they also were glow in the dark Yep I was the coolest witch on the block 😉
Then my awesome Mom starting hosting Halloween parties for me with my closest friends! We had so much fun dressing up, the evening was full of games, and fun! The picture on the bottom right is the spider web game. This one is a ton of fun.
You take a roll of string starting with everyone in a circle. You have to wrap the string around your waist and pass it or throw it to another person. You keep going in all different direction until the string is gone. It creates a cool spider web look. Of course afterwards we would all try to move and run while we were all connected in the web. It was very fun
Next came the year of the rock star! I was queen of the stage and certainly had some attitude to go with it! Mom hosted another party for me and my friends. The top photo here is the mummy game! This can be done with toilet paper or steamers. You wrap each other up like a mummy. Then you have yo try and walk across the room. It was a game full of giggles and falling over!
I then went through a phase of being obsessed with cat woman and all the superhero women! So of course Bat Girl was a must for Halloween, I felt pretty unstoppable in this look! It also came with an awesome party! Thanks Mom for the best parties and memories!
Then the parties ended as dance schedules and life got too busy. I know I have spent probably 2-3 Halloweens actually dancing at the studio. But we would always make it fun and do some spooky improv music or do a fun piece for Halloween. Luckily those mostly happened when I was okay with not going trick or treating anymore! But I still had fun costumes for school! Some sort of under sea witch here on the top and a Pirate. Oh man I loved that Pirate look!
Also above you will see my pretty tutu! No that wasn’t to go to dance class. My first high school Halloween dance I decided to be a Ballerina and wear my tutu! It was very fun and fitting as I was at a high school with a lot of new people so they didn’t know me as a dancer yet! It was a fun night.
Below was the last High school dance I went to and that was in grade 10 or 11 I honestly can’t remember! But these are my dance girls, we all went to different high schools but we got together to go to mine and we were the Spice Girls! Now before you freak out we did have Sporty Spice but she met us at the school and we didn’t get a picture all together! I was Posh Spice if you can’t tell. This was so fun as we blasted every Spice Girl song getting ready!
And now here we are today, It has been awhile since I have dressed up and while I will be studying and in classes this Halloween I still got to dress up to do these blog posts for you so I had fun!
As a little added bonus one of my amazing friends here at school Cassandra and her boyfriend Cody dressed up as Tinkerbell and Peter Pan! It was so cute and she was sweet enough to let me share a picture with you all!
I hope you enjoyed this walk down memory lane of my Halloween’s Past, and some Present! I am wishing you all a fantastic Halloween!
