My Mom said to me a week ago, “I feel we got cheated out of Summer, and this might be the first time I’m not happy about the first day of fall”. Here is BC we really did get cheated out of summer, the last few weeks were terrible, mainly cloudy/rainy, or smokey weather that prevented us from being outside, enjoying sunshine, or being out on our boat. So I can understand where my Mom was coming from. That is also why I feel behind on sharing everything! Like what do you mean summer is over and I have to transition into fall clothing! Today we are taking a step back to look at three outfits I loved this summer, and this would be the perfect time to grab these items so you have a few things ready next spring before you do you seasonal shopping.
The first outfit, was one I wore countless times! And everywhere I went, the compliments were endless. This royal blue floral maxi skirt from Chicwish was one of the most comfortable skirts I have ever owned. My work this summer involved a lot of travelling to different client properties and sometimes, being out in a goji berry field, apple orchard, on a beautiful resort, or store. I tried to find outfits that would take me to both and not let me suffer on a hot day. This skirt was amazing, I couldn’t stop wearing it!
My mom always told me to wear my weather, and now I always want to wear sunshine! I have always been a little scared to wear yellow, but since going back to my natural hair colour I felt that yellow just might work! Sure enough I fell in love with this golden flower maxi sundress from Chicwish. This was another outfit that worked really well for work, and got many complements. The natural flow of the dress makes you feel like some mystical goddess walking.
My third and final dress for today is this beautiful red peasant dress. The skirt of this dress made me want to twirl everywhere I went, I loved the quarter sleeve, and the detailing is what really made this dress pop. I did choose to close the neckline a little bit as it was showing a bit too much cleavage for my personal liking, and I felt it fit much better with that little tuck. Again this dress was perfect to be running around, and jump from location to location, appointment to meetings and anything in-between.
A huge thank you to the amazing Brooklyn D Photography, I have always said that she is as important as an idea I come up with, Brooke helps bring my ideas to life and make sure I look good doing it lol.
