Creativity is such a beautiful thing, and when the mind is sparked with a creative picture, thought, or inspiration magical things can happen. That is what happened when I had the image of a snow princess creative shoot in my head. I adore how the mind wants so badly to make these visions happen, thats exactly how this shoot came together.
I knew right away where I wanted to take these photos and who I wanted to work with to make this happen, it was kind of like creating a dream and making it come true. That is something I aspire to do in my life. So I knew Grouse Mountain would be the most beautiful location and I knew if I planned it right I would be able to get a lot of other content photographed at the same time.
My team is my go to amazing ladies, Of course for makeup I looked right to Jasmine Hoffman, I can’t even describe how incredible this woman is, not only is she an amazing makeup artist but she is also one strong powerful boss babe who does what she wants. I LOVE that, she is such a fun person to work with. I gave Jasmine a pretty vague idea of what I w anted and just told her the colours I would be wearing throughout the day and she created this incredible look. I was in pure shock when she gave me a mirror, I also love that she got it on video because I don’t think I have ever had such a shocked reaction!
Now the one part that took me a little bit to plan was the dress, I wasn’t sure if I wanted white, or maybe blue, or pink or silver. Uhh so many great options. Finally I thought white would be a great icy snow look. I loved working with Truvelle to wear the most beautiful dress. Truvelle stood out to me because they really have unique designs and stunning creations. Also who wouldn’t have fun wearing a gorgeous wedding dress for a day! This is the Samantha dress and I can’t give enough praise on how beautiufl this dress is, I felt like a real princess! Truvelle makes all of their dresses made to order so each dress is crafted with care and perfection for the buyer.
To make the day even more fun I thought about adding wintery cupcakes! Because why not and when Brooklyn and I do a photoshoot it always need treats!! I worked with The Cake Mamma who is located in Langley and oh my gosh can you believe how stunning these cupcakes were! I will tell you we really loved eating them! Also a big thank you to Beauty and the Braid for the beautiful hairstyle! And of course I couldn’t forget to wear my jeweliette earrings <3
Of course no photoshoot would be complete without my amazing friend and photographer Brooklyn. We had a lot of fun doing this because this is what Brooklyn specializes in, more beauty and wedding style photography. And this very much was styled in a wedding way so it was very fun to create and work on.
I hope you love these images as much as I do and I hope that this can inspire you to work on something creative of your own!
